Elmer and Chloe's first , third, and fourth children are buried at Kidwell Cem., Martinsville MO., where the family was living at the time. There are no stones for them.

Roy Archibald Kabel

Leukemia was the cause of death.


Roy had three brothers, Lawrence W., Orville, and Earl. There were two sisters, Elsie Buie and Ruby Beagle. Lawrence died 22 Jun 1994 at St. Joseph MO. Lawrence was married to Aolia Holland in 1939 and had a son Doyle, and a daughter, Evelyn L. Vance. He was buried in Savannah MO.

Mildred Doris Warren


Mildred and Lloyd purchased a small ladies and childrens apparel shop in Franklin NE in 1962. They then sold it and bought a similar shop in Superior NE. In 1974 they retired,and the next year moved to Longmont CO.
Mildred was cremated, and a Memorial service was held 16 Oct 1993.

Byrd spelled his name both ways, and also signed papers as "Alonzo Bird" and as "Bird A." The tombstone uses "Byrd".

Services were at the Johnson Funeral Home, Stanberry MO.
One source said she married Henderson Gabriel first, no children.This is not proven.

William's grandfather was Simon, Sr. He died at the age of 75 years, on 9 Jun 1877 at the home of his son, Thomas Harker, near Allendale. He was English by birth and was the oldest resident in Worth Co MO.
William & family were living in Smith twp, Worth Co MO in 1920.

Norma was very obese and died after surgery in Albany MO. It is said that the Dr. took out layers of fat from her body and when he stitched her back up, he literally crammed the fat back in. She died of gangrene poisoning as a result.
