In 1862 several of the Rucker families in OH moved by wagon train to Livingston Co IL. In 1869, some of the families, including Ambrose, went to Gentry Co MO. Allen, Vincent, GarlandÕs widow Sarah and her eight children, Sanford and his wife and their two children, and Louis (Lewis) Booten and his family all moved to MO. After a short stay in Gentry Co, some moved on to Nemaha Co KS, and Ambrose and some of his family moved to IA.

In addition to her children and grand children living with her, there was Walter D. Hesson, b 1873, a grandson; Charles O. Hesson, grandson; Homer M. Rucker, b 1875, a great-grandson; Frank McBride, b 1878 and William McBride, b Feb 1880, both great grandsons.
